Brief evacuation at Highlands Oncology after electrical problem

— An electrical problem at Highlands Oncology prompted an evacuation Tuesday morning.

Mauro Campos, a battalion chief with the Fayetteville Fire Department, said firefighters responded to the business, located at 3232 N. Hills Blvd., about 9 a.m. and stayed until about 10:45 a.m. No one was injured and there was never any fire, Campos said.

“It was an electrical power surge caused by something on the outside of the building,” he said. “They turned the power off to the building.”
