— Arkansas is ranked No. 10 in the preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll, released Thursday.

The Razorbacks are one of five teams from the Southeastern Conference to be ranked in the preseason top 10, alongside LSU (1), Alabama (2), Georgia (6) and South Carolina (9).

LSU, which lost to Alabama in last year's BCS national championship game, edged out the Crimson Tide for the No. 1 overall spot despite receiving fewer first-place votes. Alabama received 20 votes, Southern Cal 19 and LSU 18 for the top spot.

Southern Cal, Oklahoma and Oregon rounded out the top five teams.

Florida (23) and Auburn (25) were also ranked, giving the SEC seven teams in the poll. The Big 12 had six teams ranked.

Arkansas finished the 2011 season with an 11-2 record and No. 5 ranking in both the coaches' and Associated Press polls.
