FAYETTEVILLE — A section of the Frisco Trail is scheduled to close from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday for final demolition of the Maple Street Apartments, located northwest of West Avenue and Lafayette Street.
The apartments, which abut the trail, are being replaced with a five-story, 183-unit student housing complex called 555 Maple.
Developers of the complex will eventually widen the trail by 3 feet and install additional lighting fixtures, according to a city news release.
Trail users are asked to use Gregg Avenue as a detour around construction Monday.
