$10 million donation gets kids closer to art

Walker gift supports museum field trips

The museum announced Thursday a $10 million endowment from the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, which will help provide funding assistance for groups that wish to visit the museum. In this downturned economic climate, it’s difficult for school districts to send students on day field trips to museums and other attractions.
