—  Shiloh Christian will look to a number of newcomers for the golf season after graduating most of the program’s top players in May.

New golf coach Jordan Cox, who was an assistant at Baylor University, will try and mold a youthful boys and girls team into a championship caliber program.

Cox, who’s a former Shiloh golf coach, will have a number of talented but young golfers to build the program.

Interim golf coach Brent Hester said two boys golfers to watch are Cole Stoecklein and Rick Wedding, a pair of sophomores.

Neither were part of the top five golfers last season.

“Cole has really developed a bunch,” Hester said. “His game has really improved, and he’s been around one of two over par almost every day in practice.”

Hester said Wedding had shown plenty of consistency.

“He’s got a lot of talent,” Hester said. “He hits it a long way, and his approach is getting better.”

On the girls side, Megan Hash returns after earning a trip to the Class 4A state tournament last season. Stephanie Wedding will also be a key player for the Lady Saints, Hester said.
