Walmart Pushes Strategy Globally
RETAILER HOPES TO LOWER EXPENSES FOR GROWTH

Walmart’s international stores have been a driving force for the retailer’s growth in recent quarters, but expenses need to come down.

Below is the capital expenditure for Walmart International for fiscal 2011, ended Jan. 31, and projections for fiscal 2012 and 2013. The retailer is in the third quarter of fiscal 2012.
Fiscal 2011: $3.9 billion
Fiscal 2012: $4-4.5 billion
Fiscal 2013: $4.5-$5 billion
