Polygamists hope book will change laws

With HBO’s Big Love and TLC’s Sister Wives, polygamy has been in the television limelight in recent years and a ratings boon for producers. Viewers, it seems, can’t get enough of plural marriage. Despite the popularity of the shows, polygamy is still against the law in the United States — something the Darger family of Utah hopes will change.
