Pilgrim’s Pride to appeal decision

Judge: Tried to rig poultry market

Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., the poultry giant in Greeley, Colo., “will appeal accordingly” a $25.8 million court decision that favors a group of poultry growers mostly from south central Arkansas, the chief executive officer said Monday. “We’re disappointed in the court’s findings,” Bill Lovette, Pilgrim’s CEO, wrote in an emailed statement referring to Friday’s decision from the U.S. District Court of Eastern Texas.
