UA team takes on hog waste

Focus is on methods to lessen environmental impact

Chris Hart, manager of the University of Arkansas’ Division of Agriculture swine farm at the Savoy Research Center, looks at some sows in gestation stalls. UA researchers are using the animals’ manure in studies on lessening environmental impact of waste disposal.

A small team of researchers at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville are experimenting with techniques to lessen the environmental impact of swine manure.
