German/American Club

The German/American Club of Northwest Arkansas will be meet at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at 1400 Quarters Square on Walnut Street in Rogers to celebrate a traditional German Oktoberfest. Participants should bring appetizers and desserts and wear dirndls or lederhosen and a Tirolerhut.

Andante Music Club

The Andante Music Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bella Vista Baptist Church choir room. The program will feature Andy and Heather Muskrat presenting piano and vocal selections. The public is invited.

Weight Loss Support

The Northwest Arkansas Weight Loss Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at Apple Blossom, 2501 N. 22nd St., Rogers.

The group is not doctoraffiliated and welcomes everyone.

The club is for people who live in Northwest Arkansas and surrounding areas, and its mission is to provide information and support for people considering any type of weight loss surgery.

Bella Vista Garden Club

Bella Vista Garden Club will join Natures Calling and the Ozark Daylily Society for the annual Fall Plant Sale to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Village Wastewater Company in Bella Vista. There will be shrubs, perennials and bulbs for sale.

Beverly Abbey from the Benton County MasterGardeners will demonstrate how to make a rain barrel starting at 9 a.m.

The Kingsdale Squares will dance at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday with caller Kenton Sullivan.

Garden Club Of Rogers

The Garden Club of Rogers will meet at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church of Rogers, 1901 S. 26th St.

The program will be “Connecting Children To Nature.”

There will be a horticulture report and prize drawing afterwards. Visitors are welcome. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, and a luncheon will follow the program.

Sons Of American Revolution

The General Lafayette Chapter, Arkansas Society Sons of the American Revolution, will meet at 11:30 a.m.

Saturday at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville.

Aquarium Society

The Saturday topic for the Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society will be “Malawi Cichlids Feeding Behavior,” a DVD program by Ad Konings, a biologist, expert on the fishes of Lake Malawi and author of several books on cichlid fishes. The program begins at 7 p.m., but participants are invited to come at 6:30 p.m. to meet with other hobbyists.

The Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society meets onthe second Saturday of every month in the community room of the Rogers Police Station, at the corner of Dixieland and New Hope roads in Rogers.

Admission is free. There are door prizes for new faces and a mini auction at meeting’s end.

Diehl Toastmasters

The Diehl Toastmasters Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Village Insurance community room, 2838 Bella Vista Way in Bella Vista.

Daughters Of American Revolution

The Marion Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet Saturday at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville. The meeting will start at 11 a.m. with registration at 10:45 a.m. A buffet lunch will be served. The cost of the lunch is $13.

The speaker will be Carol Kick, volunteer services director for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville.

Pinnacle Toastmasters Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Clement Financial Services on C Street in Bentonville.

The meetings are conducted by members to develop speaking skills and learn leadership roles.
