Northwest Arkansas has thousands of nonprofit organizations, according to Jill Darling, president of the United Way of Northwest Arkansas, many of which will be facing a transformation in the near future. Changes in funding and leadership have thrown many an organization for a loop, forcing them to reduce services or even shut down.
