Angel Investors Help Startups Flourish

Abby Kiefer of Red Clay, a recently established home decor boutique, prepares on Nov. 8 for an open house in the business’ 1966 Airstream trailer while it was parked at 617 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Red Clay features the work of local artists who have the opportunity to design ceramic or textile household items and, if they win an online contest, have those items sent out for production and sold nationwide.

Angel investors are sparking a business boom in Northwest Arkansas. Investors agree real estate sucked up most of the local investment dollars for more than a decade, but a new generation of business opportunities has emerged since that bubble burst.
