Hiring Our Heroes

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has a nationwide public-private partnership to help veterans and their spouses find jobs in their local communities. The Rogers-Lowell Chamber is a partner. Monday’s job fair at the John Q. Hammons Center was one of at least 100 such events planned nationwide this year. The goal is to find jobs for 15,000 unemployed veterans. The Chamber started the program in partnership with the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service and is working with state and local chambers, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and other strategic partners to better match veterans with career opportunities in the private sector.
