Oklahoma escapee nabbed in Arkansas

An Oklahoma man on the lam was captured in Arkansas, authorities said Wednesday.

Jerome Lands was serving a 10-year sentence in Oklahoma on convictions of distribution of methamphetamine, and possession of a stolen vehicle when he escaped.

He was found hiding in a bathroom cabinet of a residence in Centerville on Tuesday. Information developed by the U.S. Marshals in Oklahoma led to a tip of a residence in Arkansas where Lands may be hiding.

Helping the U.S. Marshals with the capture were law enforcement officers with the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force, Arkansas State Police, the Yell County sheriff's office and the U.S. Forest Service.
