Animal abuse classes seen to aid new law

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/STATON BREIDENTHAL 5/12/11 Investigator Kay Simpson holds Guinevere Thursday afternoon at the Humane Society of Pulaski County. The death of one of Guinevere's puppies has resulted in animal cruelty charges being filed against a Little Rock woman.
The state director for the Humane Society of the United States said Arkansas prosecutors are doing well in their pursuit of felony charges against animal abusers despite what she views as a shortage of law enforcement training on how to investigate the cases.
