Federal officials searched a Thursday morning flight from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport when it arrived in North Carolina.
The federal Transportation Security Agency swept U.S. Airways Flight 2488 at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport because a suspicious note was found in a bathroom at XNA, according to a statement from the agency.
The plane, passengers and all baggage were checked at a remote location at the Charlotte airport, but nothing suspicious was found, according to the statement.
The search was one of two in Charlotte on Thursday, according to WCNC television, a Charlotte-area station. Passengers were removed from a Charlotte-to-Chicago U.S. Airways flight after a boarding passenger found a knife in an overhead bin, according to that report.
The two incidents occurred on separate airplanes.
