HEART & SOUL: Depression in teens calls for loving chat

When children are young, parents joke about situations we can’t imagine facing. We cringe at the thought of them driving, dread them dating, and feel sad picturing them heading off to college. Next thing we know, we’re teaching them to parallel park, the doorbell is ringing on Friday night, and our baby is packing what she’ll take to the dorm.
