Brief tornado confirmed at Paragould; 3-mile track

— The National Weather Service says a tornado has been confirmed near Paragould, where mobile homes and metal buildings sustained damage.

The weather service office in Memphis, Tenn., said Tuesday that the Monday afternoon storm was on the ground for about five minutes and covered a little over three miles in that time.

No injuries were reported. One mobile home was largely destroyed and another sustained roof damage. A tractor-trailer was blown of U.S. Highway 412, and several buildings in the area were damaged.

The weather service says tornado had a maximum width of 150 yards and top winds of 90 mph.

The tornado is the 68th confirmed in Arkansas this year.
