Martin Knecht fuels a concrete saw Monday while working with a crew relocating utilities and water lines along Crossover Road in Fayetteville. The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures near 100 degrees all week.

Pipelines and production are the main reasons hot weather hasn’t crippled water or electrical service in Northwest Arkansas during the ongoing heat wave, officials said Monday.
