— Kasey Hayes put two impressive rides together Saturday night to win the PBR “Buckin’ In The Ozarks” Bull Riding Event in Parsons Stadium.

Hayes, 25, scored a 86.5 in the final round to win the event and $10,000.

Hayes, who’s from Liberal, Kan., has won more than $620,000 in his illustrious career on the PBR Tour.

“It really feels great to come out here and put a couple of rides together like this,” Hayes said. “It was a fun event, a great event and I’m glad I could come away with a big paycheck.”

Hayes, who competes on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series, said he’s been coming to the event in Springdale for about 10 years.

“This area is great for rodeos,” Hayes said. “I love the people and the atmosphere. It’s even better when I can come here and come away with a big win.”

Hindsville’s Luke Dotson, 28, finished second in the event. Dotson scored an 88 on his first ride and didn’t qualify in the final round.

“It was great going out there and scoring well on my first ride,” Dotson said. “I felt great and it took all the pressure off my shoulders. In my second ride, I just tried to have fun with it.”
