FAYETTEVILLE — Washington County residents are discouraged from burning anything outside until conditions improve, the sheriff said Thursday.
The sheriff's office said in a news release that the area remains extremely dry. A Red Flag Fire Warning goes into effect at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Tulsa listed Fayetteville as having a 40 percent chance of rain Thursday afternoon, with less than a tenth of an inch of new rainfall expected.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday night.
