Teenage Unemployment Remains High

Morgan Mitchell, 17, says she enjoys her summer job as a lifeguard at Rogers’ Lake Atalanta Park pool. Mitchell said she applied for some retail jobs but didn’t get them or wasn’t old enough. Finally, she decided to get her lifeguard certification, and got the lifeguard job.
Teenagers may have a hard time following their parents’ admonitions to get a job this summer.
