Beaver Lake’s High Water

Beaver Lake visitors should be especially careful this summer because of the high water level, according to a news release Tuesday from the Army Corps of Engineers. “With the lake high, objects that are normally on dry ground around the shoreline are now submerged and difficult to see,” according to the release. “Campers, swimmers and boaters visiting park areas should use extreme caution and be aware that certain areas may be closed to the public for their protection.” The news release said boaters should go slow, keep life jackets on and stay in main channels and away from banks.
