United Way Wraps Up Campaign

$3.5 MILLION TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

United Way of Northwest Arkansas will give at least $3.5 million this year to area nonprofit organizations. The amount is short of the 2011’s $3.9 million fundraising goal, but charity officials hope more donations come in.

The United Way had separate chapters in Benton and Washington counties prior to a July 2007 merger that formed the United Way of Northwest Arkansas.

United Way of Northwest Arkansas accepts online contributions through its website, unitedwaynwa.org. Mailed donations can be sent to 100 Parkwood St., Lowell, AR 72745.
