Parents delivering snacks to their children's class parties might have to show a driver's license before getting to the classroom.

Texas parents Larry and Yvonne Meadows sued the Lake Travis Independent School District for violating their civil rights after it started asking visitors to show identification and checking names against a sex offender database. A federal judge ruled against the parents in 2009, and an appeals court upheld the decision in 2010.

I thought you had to have an government issued identification card if you didn't have a driver's license. So even if you don't drive, you should be able to produce ID. Maybe that isn't the law in AR. It is where I moved from.

There is nothing in the law that states you must have a state issued ID if you do not have a driver's license. I am not sure where you moved from but it is not a Federal requirement, and it is not required in North Carolina or in New York.
