Police Seek Man In Attempted Robbery

CYCLIST STABBED NUMEROUS TIMES, OFFICIALS SAY

— Police are looking for a man in connection with an attempted early morning aggravated robbery.

Police said a man told them he was riding his bicycle home at approximately 1:27 a.m. Sunday when another man approached the cyclist in the 2700 block of West Olive Street.

The man on the bicycle was stabbed “numerous times,” according to police, before fleeing to a convenience store at North 13th Street, and West Olive Street.

Police said the man was taken to Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville for treatment for his injuries.

Police are looking for a skinny man, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with short hair in connection with the attack, according to a news release from the police department.

The man was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt and blue jeans, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time, authorities added.
