— Arkansas guard Rotnei Clarke was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week Monday.

Clarke scored a combined 43 points last week in wins over Kentucky and Auburn. It is the second time this season Clarke has won the award and the third time in his career.

The junior scored 26 points and hit 11 of 12 free throws as Arkansas beat Kentucky 77-76 in overtime last Wednesday, snapping a 10-game losing streak to the Wildcats.

Against Auburn Saturday, Clarke scored 17 points as the Razorbacks improved to 18-10 overall and 7-7 in league play with a 57-55 road win.

Arkansas is currently tied with Mississippi State for second place in the SEC West. The Razorbacks will host the Bulldogs Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena. The top two seeds from each of the SEC’s two divisions will receive a first round bye in the conference tournament next week in Atlanta.
