Wanda L. Daubenberger

CHANDLER, Ariz. — Wanda L. Daubenberger, 96, of Chandler, Ariz., died Feb. 22, 2011, in Chandler. She was born June 3, 1914; preceded in death by her husband, Orvie; son, Dean; and daughter, Linda.

She is survived by son, Ivan (Wanda) of Springdale; daughter, Norma of Lititz, Pa.; seven grandchildren, including Terri Martin of Rogers and Lori Cooper of Garfield; eight stepgrandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Services are Feb. 28, 2011, in Chandler.

Eddie J. Pulliam

FAYETTEVILLE — Eddie J. Pulliam of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, in Fayetteville at the Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born July 7, 1943, in Pine Bluff, to Albert and Ruby Parks Pulliam.

He attended Merrill High School in Pine Bluff and graduated with honors. He was a 1965 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Pine Bluff with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Upon graduation, he was recruited by Weyerhaeuser Co. and began his career as a chemist at the Weyerhaeuser Company Treating Plant in De Queen, Ark., and advanced to laboratory supervisor.

He later transferred to Weyerhaeuser Paper Company in Valliant, Okla., and there continued as manager in several areas including shift superintendent and power and recover superintendent. During his years with the company, he received the Professional Roundtable of Supervisors (PROS) Award, which included a trip for two to Hawaii. He completed his career in management and retired in 2002 after 37 years of service.

He served as mayor of the City of De Queen for eight years.

Eddie was a former member of the Lewis Temple Church of God In Christ in De Queen, where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He and his wife, Rose, moved to Fayetteville in March of 2003 and worshiped with Hyland Park Assembly of God Church for four years. When the Spirit of Truth Church of God In Christ was established in Springdale, they returned to the COGIC denomination and he continued his service as deacon.

He was united in Holy matrimony to Rose Thomas Nov. 20, 1965, in Pine Bluff at Trinity Temple Church of God In Christ, by Pastor DeWitt Hill. The couple also celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows ceremony in November of 1990 at Trinity Temple with the same pastor.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Thomas H. Pulliam.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rose; two sons, Christopher Pulliam of Fayetteville and David Pulliam of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandsons, Asante Pulliam and Isaiah Pulliam of Fayetteville; two brothers, Dr. Albert L. Pulliam of Houston, Texas, and Dewey R. Pulliam of Kalamazoo, Mich.; one aunt, Mazola Smith of Indianapolis, Ind.; three nieces; one nephew; and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held today, Feb. 27, 2011, 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with the Rev. Benjamin Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Carl Henry Watkins

HUNTSVILLE — Carl Henry Watkins, 88, of Huntsville died Feb. 24, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center Hospice in Fayetteville. He was born April 7, 1922, in Japton to Tom and Mae Parsley Watkins.

He was a farmer, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Watkins and Steve Watkins and wife Elizabeth, all of Huntsville; one daughter, Debbie Cornett and Gary of Huntsville; one brother, Raymond Watkins of Combs; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville. Burial will be in the Bohannan Cemetery.

William Eddis Bayley

WASHINGTON, Pa. — William Eddis “Eddie” Bayley, 34 of Washington, Pa., formerly of Fayetteville joined his beloved family in heaven Feb. 17, 2011. He was born July 1, 1976, in Fayetteville the son of Allen Lee Bayley and Linda Irene Parker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Bayley; his maternal grandparents, William and Irene Bayley, Bruce and Eula Parker.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Boitnott of Stilwell, Okla.; his sister, Shannon Easter of Winslow, Ark.; two nieces, Stephanie Bradley of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Samantha McGarrah of Hinesville, Ga., and numerous other family and friends.

Eddie was a caring and compassionate man. He loved his family and friends deeply. When you met him, you never forgot him. He was able to leave a footprint on your heart. The impact he had on us was that of love. He was a one of a kind soul and he will be missed deeply every day.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Wilson Park in Fayetteville. If you send flowers, please send plants. Graveside service will be at Round Mountain Cemetery. Please, come as you are.

Jack Wilson

LINCOLN — Jack Wilson, 63 of Lincoln, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in Fayetteville. He was born May 27, 1947, in Poplar Grove, Ark., the son of Charles Cecil Wilson and Ruby Inez Barnes.

He was self-employed as a carpenter and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Survivors include a daughter, Nettie Willis of Gothenburg, Neb.; son, Andy Constantine of Portland, Ore.; five brothers; two sisters and three grandchildren.

Private burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Beards Funeral Chapel and Crematory handled the cremation arrangements.

Richard Arthur Hartman

CENTERTON — Richard Arthur Hartman, Sr., 73, of Centerton died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, in Bentonville. He was born March 30, 1937, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to Harry R. and Grace Hartman.

He worked as a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two sons, Richard A. Hartman, Jr. of Centerton, Ark., and Rickey Allen Hartman of Malden, Wash.; a daughter, Robyn Musteen and husband Michael of Siloam Springs; a brother, Gary Hartman of Jamestown, Calif.; a sister, Martha Hartman of Antioch, Calif.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Louise E. Wagner

SPRINGDALE — Louise E. Wagner, 92, of Springdale died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Culpepper Place Assisted Living Center in Springdale. She was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Fayette County, Texas, the daughter of Paul and Pauline Lehman Teinert.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Martin Wagner.

She was a faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale, Ladies Missionary League, Quilter for World Relief, former Sunday School Teacher, Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Vacation Bible School Teacher, loved cooking, raising garden. Louise moved to Springdale from Hereford, Texas, to enjoy being a grandmother, great-grandmother, raising and arranging her roses.

She is the precious mother of five children, Bonnie Brandt and husband, Bill of Springdale, Ruth Dobbs of Enid, Okla., Robert Wagner and wife Rhonda and Alan Wagner and wife, Debbie, all of Springdale, John Wagner and wife, Marsha of Johnson City, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Leon Teinert of La Grange, Texas.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday March 1, 2011, at Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale with the Rev. Dr. Tom Zehnder officiating. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Springdale.

Pamela Kay Easterling

SPRINGDALE — Pamela Kay Easterling, 29, of Springdale, Ark., died Feb. 25, 2011, at the Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Oct. 19, 1981, at Springdale, Ark., the daughter of Terry Lynn and Janet Nadine Root Easterling. She was a graduate of Springdale High School and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Hickory Flatt Church and was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ray and Lucy Root.

Survivors include: her parents of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Rae Dell and Justin Davis of Clifty, Ark.; one nephew, Kyle Davis of Clifty, Ark., and her paternal grandparents, Odell and Bertha Easterling of Springdale, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverends Dearl Wilson and Marty Foulk officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Glenn West, Jr., Glenn West, III, Phillip Matney, Harold Miller, Eugene Brandenburg and Daniel Norman. Honorary pallbearers will be the Children of Hickory Flatt Church. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
