— GULF SOUTH MEN OUACHITA BAPTIST 92, ARKANSAS TECH 88

RUSSELLVILLE - Austin Mitchell scored 26 points as Ouachita Baptist (11-15, 6-8 Gulf South) ended Arkansas Tech’s 16-game winning streak, beating the Wonder Boys (22-4, 13-1) at Tucker Coliseum.

Julian LaDay had 17 points and Scott Day added 13 for the Tigers, who led 46-43 at halftime.

The Tigers shot 60 percent (30 of 50) and hit 12 of 24 from three-point range.

Jeremy Dunbar scored 22 points to lead Arkansas Tech.

CLEVELAND, Miss. - Phil Turner scored a game-high 33 points off the bench and Delta State (15-12, 9-5) beat Arkansas-Monticello (14-12, 6-8).

Arian Maliqi had 15 points and 11 rebounds while Jay Murphy added 11 for the Statesmen, who shot 52 percent (27 of 52) from the field.

LA Farmer led the Boll Weevils with 31 points, his fourth 30-point game this season. Ricardo Hall had 14 points, Sergio Crowe 13 and Jerrell Boswell added 11. Arkansas-Monticello hit 14 of 33 from three-point range and finished 26 of 65 overall (40 percent).

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 59, CHRISTIAN BROTHERS 50

MAGNOLIA - Channin Harden had 24 points to lift Southern Arkansas (11-15, 3-11) over Christian Brothers (17-11, 5-9) at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

The Muleriders outrebounded the Buccaneers 34-22. They shot 49 percent (23 of 47) from the field while the Buccaneers hit 18 of 46 (39 percent).

Harry Green led Christian Brothers with 14 points.

HARDING 89, HENDERSON STATE 70

ARKADELPHIA - Kevin Brown scored 32 points as Harding (22-4, 12-2 Gulf South) beat Henderson State (7-19, 2-12) at the Duke Wells Center.

The Bisons shot 54 percent from the field and were 25 of 31 from the free throw line.

Henderson State went to the foul line just 14 times, making six, while shooting 45 percent from the field.

Josh French scored 23 points for the Reddies, with Marlon Johnson adding 12.

GULF SOUTH WOMEN ARKANSAS TECH 100, OUACHITA BAPTIST 97, 2OT

RUSSELLVILLE - Laura Beth Anderson scored 23 points and Jessica Weatherford had 22 and Arkansas Tech (24-2, 13-1) wrapped up the Gulf South West Division title with a victory in double overtime over Ouachita Baptist (19-7, 10-4).

The Golden Suns have won nine consecutive games and 32 in a row atTucker Coliseum. They set school records Saturday for free throws made (42) and free throws attempted (58).

Natalia Santos had 19 points and Jenny Vining added 12 for Arkansas Tech.

Gabby Coleman had a game-high 27 points for the Lady Tigers.

HENDERSON STATE 80, HARDING 79, OT

ARKADELPHIA - Nyesha Adams’ free throw with 17 seconds left gave Henderson State (15-11, 6-8) an overtime victory over Harding (17-9, 8-6) at the Duke Wells Center.

Henderson State led for most of the game and had a 71-69 lead with 11 seconds remaining in regulation after Adams hit two free throws. Harding’s Cherilyn McMenamy tied the score with 3.5 seconds left, which sent the game in overtime.

In the overtime period, Harding hit all eight free throw attempts but was 0 for 8 from the field. Henderson State was 7 of 10 from the free throw line, but got its lone field goal with 59 seconds remaining on a Janisha Young put-back which gave the Lady Reddies a 79-77 lead.

With 37 seconds left, Michaela Brown hit both free throws to tie the score for the 11th time, before Adams gave Henderson State the lead with her free throw.

Harding was led by Bailey St. Clair’s 27 points and 8 rebounds.

DELTA STATE 92, ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO 58

CLEVELAND, Miss. - Veronica Walker had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Delta State (24-2, 12-2 Gulf South) past Arkansas-Monticello (6-20, 2-12) at Walter Sillers Coliseum.

Jerica Hubbard led the Cotton Blossoms with 12 points and seven rebounds. Alex Hart had 10 points and Erica Williams added nine.

Shameka Russell had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Bug Cooper finished with 14 points for the Lady Statesmen. SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 84, CHRISTIAN BROTHERS 63

MAGNOLIA - Junior centers Kmaria Hobbs had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Shenelda Levingston finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Southern Arkansas (5-19, 4-10) routed Christian Brothers (8-18, 1-13) at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.

Christian Brothers’ Normanique Johnson had a game-high 27 points.

Christian Brothers jumped out to a 13-2 lead. But the Lady Muleriders went on a 17-5 run for a 19-18 lead with 8:03 left, but the Lady Bucs held a 30-29 lead at halftime.

Southern Arkansas finally got on track in the second half, outscoring Christian Brothers 38-16 over a 12-minute span for a 76-54 lead with 4:00 left.

The Lady Muleriders shot 42 percent (31 of 74) from the field, while Christian Brothers was 18 of 47 (38 percent).

Southern Arkansas outrebounded Christian Brothers 48-30.

Also for Southern Arkansas, Cha’Kia Lee had 15 points while Kristy Shinn added 11 in their final collegiate games.
