KEVIN SO - Formerly a New York resident, songwriter Kevin So now calls Nashville, Tenn., home. So, who performs on Sunday at Teatro Scarpino, last played in Fayetteville as an opening act for blues artist Keb’ Mo. So is now touring in support of his latest release, “LiFe Solo AKouStic.” Admission to the 7 p.m. show, which also features local songwriter Jason Reddecliff, is $12.
AMY LAVERE - The force behind three CDs, “The World Is Not My Home,” “Anchors & Anvils” and “Died of Love,” Memphis, Tenn., songwriter Amy LaVere will visit Rogue Pizza Co. on Dickson Street for a Wednesday evening show. LaVere, who plays upright bass and sings, is preparing to release her next album, “Stranger Me,” which she describes as “dreamy, fun, dark and suspenseful.” Admission to the 9 p.m.show is $10.
LUCERO - The southern punk/country/rock outfi t Lucero, featuring Little Rock native Ben Nichols on lead vocals, has performed in Fayetteville dozens of times during its 10-plus years on the touring circuit. The group, which is based in Memphis, Tenn., made the jump to a major label with the release of “1372 Overton Park” in 2009. The group will play a two-night run of shows at George’s Majestic Lounge today and Saturday. Tonight’s show is expected to begin about 9:30 p.m. Saturday’s show will begin closer to 9 p.m. Admission to either is $15.
