Rona Lisa Anderson, 54, of Fayetteville, passed away Feb. 22, 2011, at her home.

She was born June 23, 1956, in Fayetteville, to Elmer E. Omohundro and Betty Faye Omohundro.

She served in the U.S. Army and was employed at the Veterans Hospital of Fayetteville for several years. She was a retired district manager for Braum’s Restaurants and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Baptist Ford Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her father, Elmer E. Omohundro; daughter, Sherrie Lerz and her husband, Ryan Martin John Lerz; and two sisters, Jackie Barrett of Fayetteville, and Anna Johnson of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her grandson, Miles Avery Lerz; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE

Georgia Nadine Oliver, 82, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in Fayetteville. She was born March 27, 1928, in Spiro, Okla., the daughter of George and Effie Ann Farris Baxter.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William B. Oliver Sr. of the home; one son, William B. Oliver Jr. and wife, Helen, of Lincoln; three daughters, Johnnie Ann Watkins and husband, Joe, of Elkins, Jeannine McCleland and husband, George, of Fayetteville, and Jamie Cavness and husband, Joel, of Westville, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Okla.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

SPRINGDALE

Patricia “Pat” Lewis, 68, of Springdale, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 1, 1943, at Hazelhurst, Ga., the daughter of Douglas and Marjorie Hornsby Thompson. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Thompson, who served in the United States Marine Corps.

She was a certified nurse’s aide and loved to read and cross-stitch. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana Perkins of Springdale; a son, Jon Lewis and his wife, Christy, of Springdale; her mother, Marjorie Thompson, of Springdale; a sister, Diana Douglas Boehme, of Gordonville, Va.; and five grandchildren, Robert Gray, A.J. Perkins, Joseph Perkins, Mathew Lewis, and Zakary Lewis.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Moore’s Chapel.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Moore’s Chapel.

EUREKA SPRINGS

Margaret Fay (Willour) Noury, a resident of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born Aug. 7, 1925, in McAlester, Okla., a daughter of Dr. Leonard Scott and Mary Lavalette (Holmes) Willour.

She departed this life in Fayetteville, Ark., on Feb. 22, 2011, at the age of 85.

Retired from Drewry, Regier, and Stockard Medical Office in Lawton, Okla., she moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., in 1985. She was an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, past-president of the Altar Society in Duncan (1959) and Lawton, Okla., (1968); and a longstanding member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Duncan and Lawton, Okla.; past-regent of the NSDAR Abendschone Chapter of Eureka Springs.

On Nov. 24, 1944, in McAlester, Okla., she was united in marriage with James J. Noury, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; one sister, Mary Scott (Willour) Herwagen; and daughter, Mary Ann (Noury) Watts.

She is survived by two children, daughter Frances Allen (Noury) Johnson, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; son James Scott Noury and wife, Valorie, of Paxico, Kan.; five grandchildren, Alicia Ann Johnson, Eric Julian Noury, Elizabeth Scott (Noury) Breedlove and her husband, Lucas Breedlove, James Christian Noury and Alexander Leonard Noury; two great-grandchildren, Korbin Tobias (Carrier) Breedlove and Kohen Alexander-Scott Breedlove; the mother of four of her grandchildren, Mary (Harris) Noury; and a host of friends.

A Rosary/Memorial Service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 30 Crescent Drive, Eureka Springs, Ark. Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at St. Elizabeth Church.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.

SPRINGDALE

William Alroy (Bill) Seaton, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, Feb. 22, 2011, at his home in Springdale, Ark., with his wife by his side.

He was born on June 24, 1921, in Austin, Arkansas (The Sylvania community, Lonoke County), the only child of William Elihue Seaton and Willene Dicus Seaton, which preceded him in death.

Bill graduated from High School in Beebe, Ark., in 1940. He later served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII on the USS Mills. He was also a member of the Elmdale Baptist Church of Springdale, where he enjoyed the Senior Adult Men’s Sunday school class.

Mr. Seaton worked in the procurement of forest products division of Koppers Inc., and worked independently in real estate and trucking. He retired in 2001. He enjoyed reading, playing card games and spending time with his family and his special Pomeranian dog, “Rusty.”

He is survived by his wife of the home, Mary Emma Jones Seaton; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Kipp of Haines City, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Michael and Martha Seaton of Denton, Texas, and Rick and Stacy Seaton of Jefferson City, Mo. He is also survived by seven granddaughters, Kristie Allen, Kelley and Jason Erickson, Sarah and Roy Jackson, Allyson and Jeremy Waters, Rachel and Larry Fish, Maryssa Kipp, Karen and Dennis Combs; eight great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Earlean Smith.

Graveside services will be held by the Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe, Ark., at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 2 p.m. with military honors.

A memorial service will also be held at the Elmdale Baptist Church, Springdale, on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m., with Dr. Rick Seaton and the Rev. Kenneth Kipp officiating.

ROGERS

Billy Joe Jordan, 58, of Rogers died Feb. 21, 2011, at his home.

He was born July 22, 1952, in Springdale. He was a truck driver for Groendyke, a member of the Carrier Congregational Church in Carrier, Okla., and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Jordan of Enid, Okla., and Jacqueline Jordan of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Billy Jordan of Guymon, Okla.; a sister, Diana Mae Frances of Rogers; and six grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.

SPRINGDALE

Doretta Gwen Burnett, 50, of Springdale, died Feb. 21, 2011, at Westwood Health and Rehab.

She was born July 5, 1960, at Marshall, Ark., to William and Ruth Ledbetter Isaac. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Lighthouse Church.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Isaac of Springdale; son, Randy Burnett of Springdale; daughter, Sherry White of Springdale; brothers, Wendell Isaac of Kansas City, Mo., and Aubrey Isaac of Texas; sister, Lisa Blount of Springdale; one grandchild, Mackenzie White; four nieces and nephews, Erin Blount, Anna Blount, Keisha Fisher, and SSG William A. Isaac; and great-nieces, Emilea Fisher and Alyssa Blount.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Lorne Scoggins officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

MOBILE, Ala.

Donald W. Moore, loving husband, father, and Grampy, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, after a brief illness. Don was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Moscow, Idaho.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank E. and Edna Mae Moore; and the love of his life and wife, Jan Moore.

With his roots embedded in Winchester, Ky., it led him to the University of Kentucky, where he majored in agriculture. This choice would prove to be the stepping stone to a successful career in the poultry industry, which focused on primary breeding. His career spanned more than four decades and took him all over the world. He worked his way up the corporate ladder, beginning his career as a technician for Chick Masters Incubation Co. in Waterville, Maine.

During his esteemed career, he was employed by Arbor Acres Farm as a branch manager in their Albertville, Ala., Princess Anne, Md., and Springdale, Ark., facilities. He also served as president of Avian Farms and Argo Breeders, Inc. in Texas. He was known as one of the instrumental founders of Skip-A-Day Feeding program for chickens, which is still used today.

In 1975, Don joined Ross Poultry Breeders, who were renowned for being a major supplier of male line parent stock of chickens for broiler production. Later, Don was responsible for bring the cutting edge of the broiler industry to Elkmont, Ala. Don served as a director on several boards in the poultry industry, including The Southeastern Poultry and Egg Association, National Poultry Association, and the National Broiler Council. Always giving back to the industry he loved, Don was a frequent guest lecturer for Auburn University poultry science department and was a consultant to the World Bank, teaching other countries how to build productive poultry operations.

Not only a leader in business, Don served in the United States Air Force, as well as a member of Rotary International in each community where his career took him. He also was a member of the Columbia, South Glastonbury, Connecticut Masonic Lodge #28 of the M.M. Grand Lodge of Connecticut.

He is survived by two daughters, Debi Wilkins (David) of Mobile, Ala., and Kathi King (Lewis) of Dothan, Ala.; three grandchildren, David Wilkins Jr. (Nicole) of Houston, Texas, Jenna Wilkins of Mobile, Ala., and Gabe King of Dothan, Ala. In addition, he is survived by a brother, Robert Moore (Pat) and a sister, Katherine Hays, both of Winchester, Ky., as well as several nieces and nephews. Don is also survived by two foreign exchange students, Mako Amagi (Kazau) of Japan and Patty Weiner of Peru.

The family would like to thank Dr. F. Martin Lester, Dr. Anita Smith-Kemmerly, Dr. Charles Scott Markle, Dr. Patrick B. Murphy, Dr. Glenn E. Esses, Infirmary Home Health Care Nurses, the staff at Fresenius Medical Care Mobile on Old Shell Road, Deborah and the staff at Infirmary Hospice Care, and caregivers Kim and Charlotte, for their kindness and great care of their father.

Pallbearers will be Ken Power, Jimmy Jones, Connor Burke II, Brad Johnson, Kenny Norris and Ed Cadden.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mobile, Ala., at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, with the Rev. Ken Cumbie and the Rev. C. L. “Red” Dixon of Springdale, Ark., officiating. Visitation will be held in the chapel at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Ala.

Merle Frances Lunsford, 91, of Prairie Grove died Feb. 18, 2011, at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove.

She was born March 8, 1919, in Arkadelphia to Joe B. and Lelia Knickerborger Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Lunsford and wife, Diane, of Morrow, and William Ray Lunsford of Florida; a sister; a brother; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport, La.

Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.
