Police said officer Tiffney Lindley received 17 staples to close an 8-inch gash to her head, as well as stitches on a cut to her chin, after being pummeled with her own baton.

Hiram Gregary Graham, 35, of 1460 N. Florence St. and his brother Joemo Kenyarty Graham, 33, of Houston were arrested in the early Wednesday incident at the International House of Pancakes, 3153 W. Wedington Drive inFayetteville.

Graham continued striking Lindley until a woman in the restaurant grabbed his arm, the report said. Lindleydrew her gun and threatened Graham. Both men then were arrested and jailed.

The two officers were taken to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. Moad was treated for cuts, scrapes and bruises. Both officers were released from the hospital later Wednesday.
