Police Investigate Early Morning Robbery

— Police are investigating a robbery which occurred early Monday morning.

Officers were called to Mercy Medical Center at 2:46 a.m. where a man was being treated for injuries suffered in the incident, according to a news release from the Rogers Police Department.

The man had been at The Bayou, a private club at 115 N. Dixieland Road, where he met two men who engaged him in conversation while playing a game of pool, according to the release. The man's name was not released.

The man said as he was leaving The Bayou, the two men offered him a ride home. As he got into the car, the man said he saw a third person in the front passenger seat.

The man said he was taken to an unknown dirt road near Old Prairie Creek. There he was pulled from the vehicle and assaulted. He told police he was hit with his own cane, and hit in the face with a rock.

In addition to $30, the man said a blue book bag, prescription bottle and his cane were taken.

The man was left at the location of the assault. He was able to walk to a nearby residence and contact a friend who took him to the hospital. He was treated and released, according to the release.

One suspect was described as being in his early 20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He had a mustache and goatee that were connected. He wore a gray Quicksilver brand hoodie and was described as a "surfer."

The second suspect was described as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He had a goatee and mustache that are not connected. He had short black hair and wore a red and black sweatshirt with blue jeans.

The third subject was described as having an accent and wore a gray hoodie. The victim could not give any further description of the man.

The car the men were in was described as a silver Cadillac El Dorado or Deville.
