WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla.

Marvin Martin Eck, 93-year-old resident of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Feb. 19, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 18, 1918, in Goltry, Okla., he was the son of Frank Eck and Susan Johanson Eck. Marvin married Wanda Mouttet on April 27, 1941, in Chicago, Ill.

He graduated with a Divinity Degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Ill. Marvin was a pastor for Siloam Springs Bible Church for 40 years and he was a missionary in Sudan, Africa.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife and two daughters, Coralee Spencer and Elene Grace Eck.

Survivors include two sons, Gareth Eck and wife Cheryl of Fayetteville, Stephen Eck and wife Darlene of Mannford, Okla.; two daughters, Sharon Bowerman and husband Joe of Fayetteville, Marilyn Muehler and husband Dean of Mountain Home, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Dallas Bowerman, Brian Bowerman, Ryan Eck, Tara Roussel, Sarah Henson, Vanessa Blanchard, Allison Tweedy and Christopher Eck; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah Bowerman, Briant Bowerman, Avery Bowerman, Olivia Bowerman, Benjamin Roussel, Charlotte Roussel, Noah Roussel, Savannah Leigh Blanchard and Michael Tweedy; and two brothers, Mahlon Eck of Henderson, Nebraska, Frank Eck of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Siloam Springs Bible Church, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Brian Bowerman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Ark. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

FARMINGTON

Haskell David Sanford, 74, of Farmington, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Seminary, Miss., to the late Wilmer and Mary Sanford.

Haskell enjoyed woodworking, painting and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cecelia Sanford; three daughters, Anita Stroud and husband Bill of Farmington, Diane Allen and husband Jeffrey of Farmington and Sandra Sanford Hawkins of Los Lunas, N.M.; three brothers, James Carroll Sanford and wife Shirley of Collins, Miss., Willis Glen Sanford and wife Shirley of Flower Mound, Texas, and Wilmer Lewis Sanford and wife Janette of New Iberia, La. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held noon Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Calvary Chapel of Fayetteville with George Shaw and James Carroll Sanford officiating.

FARMINGTON

Chester "Babe" Holt Bailey, 81, a resident of Farmington, Ark., went to be with his Lord on Feb. 19, 2011, at his home in Farmington, Ark. He was born July 21, 1929, in Johnson, Ark., the son of John and Lucy Boatright Bailey.

Babe was a member of the Farmington Church of Christ. He was a truck driver for Willis Shaw Express and Jones Truck Lines. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Lynn Bailey, his parents and two brothers, Eugene "Bub" Bailey and Wayne Bailey.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Hazel Boatright Bailey of the home; two sons, Don Corp and his wife, Terri of Carnation, Wash., Marion Bailey and his wife, Gina of Farmington, Ark.; four brothers, John Bailey of Fayetteville, Ark., Bob Bailey of Houston, Texas, Carson Bailey of Farmington, Ark., and Carl Bailey of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Laverne Glenn of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren, Sarah and Nathan Corp of Carnation, Wash., Lindsey White and her husband, Justin of Nashville, Ark., Rodney Bailey and his fiancee Lauren Wright both of Farmington, Ark. and Oakley Bailey of Farmington, Ark.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Farmington Church of Christ in Farmington, Ark., with Larry Krudwig officiating. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, Ark.

FAYETTEVILLE

Elva Shelton, 87, of Fayetteville left this earth, Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at her home in Fayetteville surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1923, in Murray, Ark., the daughter of Theo and Etta Carlton. Even though we know she was sad to leave her loved ones, we know that she rejoiced to see her husband, Eugene Shelton and great-granddaughter Tristan Vaught and many others who had preceded her in death.

Elva Shelton had numerous hobbies such as cooking/canning, sewing/quilting and gardening. After retiring from Baldwin Piano Company she continued to spend most of her time being a homemaker. She is also charter member of Living Faith Church. Her most beloved times were spent with her family and friends. Her strength will be remembered for generations.

Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Shelton, to whom she married June 28, 1943. She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Tristan Vaught in August 2002, as well as three brothers, Loren Carlton, Leonard Carlton and Ray Carlton, and four sisters, Audie Edgmon, Ruby Dodge, Naomi Robertson and Jewell Edwards.

She is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie Ramsey and her husband, Shelley of Lowell, Gena Pense and her husband, Jay of Fayetteville, and Sheila Sachs and her husband Bobby of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Shalena McWilliams and husband Scott, of Little Rock, Jalynn Vaught and husband Brian, of Farmington, Jason Pense and fiancee Sarah Barnett, of Farmington, Jeramy Pense and fiance Alex Aulgur, and Brandy Meadors and husband Hank, of Winslow; nine great-grandchildren, Bryce, Madisyn, Ramsey, Reece, Cayson, Tucker, Tessa, Aden, and Ryann.

The family would like to acknowledge her caregivers: Ann Rolston, Odie Sanders, and Judy Ingram.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beards Chapel.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Living Faith Church with Dr. Buell Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Jasper, Ark., at 2 p.m. Tuesday under the direction of Beards Chapel.
