Governor’s appointments

— Gov. Mike Beebe has appointed a former legislator to the state Board of Corrections, the governor’s office said Friday.

Bobby Glover, a Democrat from Carlisle, replaces Ken Jones for a term that is to expire Dec. 31, 2013.

Glover served multiple terms in the state House of Representatives and the state Senate.

Other Beebe appointments announced Friday:

Dr. Catherine Acre, Greenbrier, and Dr. Deborah Gangluff, Conway, reappointed to the Arkansas State Occupational Therapy Examining Committee, for terms expiring March 1, 2015.

Brandi Anderson, Sherwood, reappointed, and Vanessa Crossfield, North Little Rock, appointed, to the Petroleum Storage Tanks Advisory Council, for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2014. Crossfield replaces Ronald Keltner.

Neal Anderson, Lonoke, and Don Richardson, Clinton, reappointed to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, for terms expiring Jan. 14, 2018.

Dr. Kenneth Bridges, El Dorado, and the Rev. Charles Coffelt, Gillett, appointed to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board, for terms expiring July 31,2013. Bridges replaces Mary Flowers, Coffelt replaces Dan Sullivan.

Kenneth Burks, Benton, and John Sahene, Little Rock, appointed to the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission for terms expiring Jan. 14, 2018. Burks replaces Scott Wallace, Sahene replaces Darrel Teeter.

Rohn Craft, Jonesboro, and Joe Cunningham, Helena-West Helena, reappointed to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board, for terms expiring Jan. 14, 2015.

Gayther Crank, Lewisville, reappointed to the Red River Commission, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2018.

James “Paul” Latture, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Waterways Commission, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2018.

Mary Leath, Conway, to the Information Network of Arkansas to serve at the will of the governor (she replaces Dick Wyatt); Amy Mattison, Jacksonville, was appointed for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2013, replacing Aaron Stewart; and Ron Pitts, Hensley, was reappointed for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2013.

Dr. Jackie McCray, Pine Bluff; Melanie Posey, Paragould; and Pete Sims Jr., El Dorado, reappointed to the Burial Association Board, for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2013.
