County Officials To Face Questions

— Benton County will hold the first in a planned series of “County Hall” meetings Tuesday in Siloam Springs.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Siloam Springs Community Center, 110 N. Mount Olive St., next to the fire station.

County Judge Bob Clinard said the county’s elected officials and local justices of the peace will be on hand to give an overview of their duties and responsibilities. Clinard said key members of the county judge’s staff members also will attend. Clinard said the county officials will try to answer questions regarding property assessments, county roads, emergency services, emergency telephone notification system capabilities and other issues.

This meeting will include the surrounding towns, including Decatur, Gentry, Springtown and Gravette, not just the Siloam Springs area.

This will be the first in a series of County Hall meetings that Clinard will hold. The next meeting will be in the Garfield area and focus on the eastern side of the county.
