Rachel Beth Lawson of Bentonville and Brian Patrick Nutt of Fayetteville were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 11, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Bentonville. Donny Story oft ciated.

The bride is the daughter of Valorie and James R. “Randy” Lawson of Bentonville. She is the granddaughter of Marjorie Burton of El Dorado, J.C. Lawson of Bentonville, the late Rev. John F. Burton Jr. and the late Shirley Lawson.

The groom is the son of Debbie and Gerald Nutt of Camden. He is the grandson of Johnette and the Rev. Donald Travis of El Dorado and Geraldine and Billy Joe Nutt of Camden.

The bride wore a white designer gown fashioned of silk taffeta with a ruched bodice and overskirt to which the bride made custom changes, including a bubble hem and silk buttons lining the back of the dress. She wore a custom veil of white silk tulle trimmed with a ribbon edge and carried a bouquet of red Charlotte roses embellished with an antique brooch.

Jessica Kenyon of Bentonville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ginger Lawson of Bentonville, Whitney Ray of Jacksonville, Fla., Casey Shaw of Fayetteville and Melissa Boyer of Bentonville.

Michael Nutt of Fayetteville was best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Lawson of Bentonville, John Raines of Wheaton, Ill., Craig Enloe of Harrison and Ben Scism of Fayetteville.

Alexandra Lawson was flower girl, and Kade Lawson was ringbearer.

Tyler Kenyon, Jacob Lawson, Zachary Lawson and Coulter Mason seated guests, and Angie Guthrie attended the guest book.

Wedding music was provided by Mark Bever. Jade Mason, Myles Mason and Ava Quintana were included in the house party.

A reception followed on the Ninth Floor of the Bentonville Plaza.

After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple live in Lowell.

The bride is assistant director of special events for the University of Arkansas Athletic Department in Fayetteville. The groom is a credit analyst at Arvest Bank in Springdale.

Caplena-Wu

Denise Di Wu and Timothy Derin Caplena, both of Arlington, Tenn., were married at 5 p.m. Oct. 2, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers. Grant Lowe oft ciated.

The bride is the daughter of Qingwei Wu and Peiling Shen, both of Shanghai, China. She is the granddaughter of Xuexiu Zhou and Dingxiang Cao, both of Shanghai.

The groom is the son of Rhonda and Derin Caplena and the grandson of Alice Dickey, all of Bella Vista.

The bride wore a white mermaid gown for the ceremony and a red traditional Chinese gown for the reception. She carried a bouquet of 12 orchids and green and hot pink roses.

Elizabeth Cowan of Atlanta attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jun Yang of San Francisco and Wenjing Zheng of New York City.

Lawson Lowe of Greenwood was best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Cox and Austin Corbin, both of Greenwood.

Adelei Caplena was flower girl, and ringbearer was Dayson Caplena.

Aaron Caplena, Brandon Caplena and Wayland Parker III seated guests. Christa Beal attended the guest book, and Grace Madison distributed programs.

Wedding music was provided by Marilyn Lee. A reception followed at the Springdale Country Club.

After a honeymoon in Bella Vista, the couple live in Arlington.

The bride is a protein chemist, and the groom is a personal fi tness trainer.

Peeples-McClung

Maureen Rose McClung and Travis Duane Peeples, both of Fayetteville, were married at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 9, 2010, at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. Travis Wooten off ciated.

The bride is the daughter of Barb and Chris McClung of Eureka Springs. She is the granddaughter of Eugenia and Warren Keck of Eureka Springs, Marguerite McClung of Springfield, Mo., and the late Clell McClung.

The groom is the son of Patricia Paranych of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada, and David Peeples of Los Angeles. He is the grandson of Shirley and Dennis Birch of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Madge Peeples of Arcadia, Calif., and the late Joseph Peeples.

Ivy Leahy of Fayetteville attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandy Thomason of Norman, Okla., and the bride’s sister-in-law Lucy McClung of Fayetteville.

Dave Moser of Fayetteville served as best man. Groomsmen were Mark Horne and Josh Merryman, both of Fayetteville.

Olivia Lucille McClung and Sophie Grace McClung were fl ower girls.

Guests were seated by Owen McClung, Evan McClung and Ben McClung, and Eve Leahy attended the guest book.

A reception followed in the gardens.

After a wedding trip to Tulum, Mexico, the couple live in Fayetteville.

The bride is a doctoral candidate in biological sciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and the groom is a media specialist for the UA.
