Trail Planning Workshops On Tap

— The Property Owners Association and city will sponsor two workshops to collect ideas to develop a trail plan.

The workshops will be from 6 to 8 p.m. March 2-3 at Riordan Hall, 3 Riordan Drive.

Members of the association’s Recreation Department and Recreation Committee and the city’s Planning Department will host the two public meetings.

Information collected at the workshops will be the first step in compiling the city’s Master Trails Plan.

Staff and committee members are interested in hearing suggestions from recreational bicyclists, runners and pedestrians and residents who would like to see trails throughout the village.

Public opinion is instrumental in creating and maintaining a trail system, according to an association news release.

Bella Vista already has several trails, including the Tanyard Creek Nature Trail and Loch Lomond Walking Trail.

“We hope to develop a comprehensive trails system that all Bella Vista residents can be proud of and enjoy,” said Clem Morgan, recreation manager.

For more information, call Morgan at 479-855-5073 or Chris Suneson with the city at 479-876-1255.
