SPRINGDALE — A Springdale man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a girl.
Alvardo G. Zelada, 30, 1298 Electric Ave., No. H-103, was arrested Wednesday in connection with felony rape.
A 17-year-old girl told police Zelada has had sexual intercourse with her since she was 12, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department. Zelada admitted having sex with the girl when she was 16 and 17, according to the release.
Zelada remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Thursday in lieu of $50,000 bond.
