Roberta Douglas Cummings

ROGERS — Roberta Douglas Cummings, 93, of Rogers died Feb. 9, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born Nov. 10, 1917, in Prairie Grove to Hugh Douglas and Mary Rebecca Maupin Cummings.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Pi Beta Phi.

Survivors include a son, Robert Tucker and wife Jeannette of Houston; four daughters, Nancy Jennings and husband Richard of Austin, Texas, Emilie Varnell and husband Richard of Fort Worth, Texas, Lucy Day and husband Wendell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Susan Chappuis and husband Duke of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove.

Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Charles Richard Turner Pickrel

ROGERS — Charles “Pic” Richard Turner Pickrel, 87, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, surrounded by family. He was born in Omaha, Neb., on May 6, 1923, the only child of Charles C. Pickrel and Nellie M. Elson Pickrel.

Charles graduated from Brentwood High School in 1941. He was married to Bette L. Strong in Webster Groves, Mo., on June 15, 1942.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bette; a son, Charlie and wife, Diane, of Seattle; a daughter, Marilyn of Rogers; four grandchildren, Sandra, Chuck and wife, Lara, Laina and Ally; three great-grandchildren, Angie, Lexie and CJ.

A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the First Christian Church of Bentonville, Ark. Please dress casual.

To honor the life of Charles, the family has requested donations be made to: First Christian Church of Bentonville, for education scholarships.

Michael Scott Elsea

NEOSHO, Mo. — Michael Scott Elsea, 38, of Neosho, Mo., died Feb. 16, 2011, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. He was born Jan. 26, 1973, in Fayetteville to Bobby Joe and Janice Townsend Elsea.

Survivors include a son, Dustin Elsea of Lowell; a daughter, Maddeline Elsea of Webb City, Mo.; and his father.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Hiwasse.
