Christmas sales pick up at end

Trackers report surges at retailers in closing week

A shopper exits the Toys R Us flagship store in New York’s Times Square on Christmas Eve. A mall trade group said Wednesday that last-minute shoppers gave merchants a lift in sales in the week before Christmas.

Shoppers recovered from their post-Thanksgiving lull to provide U.S. retailers with a strong finish to the Christmas shopping season, according early tallies for the period.

When you're shopping quotes from lenders, beware of points that they'll try to impose on your refi. Each point is a fee of 1% on the amount you borrow. I worked with 123 Refinance search online for them. I would strongly recommend them since they got me 3.24% rate on my mortgage refinance.
