Sitework Begins for New School

Rogers introduces energy strategies in building slated to open August 2013

Signs of construction can be seen on Mount Hebron Road at the Rogers-Lowell city limits where the newest Rogers elementary school will be built.

A new elementary school on Mount Hebron Road will not open until August 2013, but officials at the Rogers School District are planning for the building’s long-term impact.

Timeline

School Site Preparation

• Dec. 16: Survey and layout

• Dec. 23: Stormwater pollution prevention plan and sediment control

• Dec. 26: Temporary construction roads

• Jan. 10: Strip topsoil

• Jan. 19: Cut and fill earthwork

• Feb. 16: Building pad

• Feb. 23: Storm drain

• March 15: Rough grading
