The Rev. J. Anthony Holifield recalled Saturday that he wondered last year whether anyone would show up for the inaugural contemporary Christmas Eve worship service at Central United Methodist Church.

Dog Who Vanished Found Seven Months Later

Jet was found seven months after escaping from Fayetteville Animal Services staff while on an outing at the Fayetteville square. The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter is a temporary home, up to 45 day, for boys ages birth to 12 years old and girls ages birth to 17 years old who have been removed from their home because of neglect, physical abuse or sexual abuse. The shelter, which moved into a newer and bigger facility in April after a $13.5 million grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, is run by 97 employees and 180 volunteers.
