WINTER PROJECT GETS NEW YEAR OFF TO FISHING START

Roger Cravens, from left, Randy Allen and Jason Piper lower a fish attractor into a boat stall at a dock on Beaver Lake. Allen maintains the dock for the owner and gave Cravens and Piper permission to sink the attractor. Winter is an ideal time for dock owners to enhance their docks with brush to attract game fish such as crappie.

While lake revelers clutch fruity drinks and walk the planks of private boat docks at Beaver Lake, there’s a party going on under the flotation as well.
