Walker Praised by Witnesses, Judge To Decide Sentence Today

Myrtle Walter was praised by witnesses for two days in a Benton County courtroom, but few good things were said about the husband she shot and killed in 2008.

The Case

Myrtle Walter, 79, of Rogers pleaded guilty to manslaughter Wednesday in the shooting death of her husband, Paul, in 2008. The class C felony is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from three to 10 years, a fine up to $10,000 or both. Walter is free on $250,00 bond.
