100 YEARS AGO Dec. 14, 1911 FORT SMITH — Price Mayo, aged 14, of Sulphur Springs addition, was fined $10 in police court yesterday for calling out the fire department. It was testified to that the boy started a grass fire and then telephoned to the department “just to see the horses run.” His counsel appealed the case to the Circuit Court.
