Program Targets Trucker Shortage

COMPANIES SEEK TO PRODUCE DRIVERS

At least two local trucking companies are working with the Arkansas Trucking Association and the state to produce new drivers at a time when there’s a nationwide shortage of experienced and qualified drivers.

KEEPING THE WHEELS ROLLING

There are more than 3.2 million professional truck drivers nationwide. Here’s how many drivers were working for selected area trucking companies this year, according to government data: 10,096: J.B. Hunt 6,730: Arkansas Best Freight 2,158: PAM Transport 2,519: USA Truck 525: Willis Shaw Express 103: Comstar Enterprises

Companies Reduce Waste
