Test May Aid English Learners

Justin Keen, social studies teacher at Helen Tyson Middle School, instructs students on an assignment about perspectives Tuesday in Springdale. The students were learning about the Little Rock Nine and needed to come up with different views of people who could be involved in desegregation. Keen, as well as other teachers at the school, work with English as a Second Language students. The students have the same educational requirements when taking standardized tests. The Springdale School District works to make sure their comprehension of school subjects is on par with other students.
