My daughter brought a rattlesnake home in her soccer bag after a tournament in Oklahoma. It crawled out and was sitting in a pile of clean towels. Imagine my surprise when I picked up the towels to put them away!

Rattlesnakes--not a good surprise!
But I'm sorry when people kill a harmless garter snake. One should learn to identify the four venomous snakes found in this country, and spare the others.
