Six Schools Get New Principals

ADMINISTRATORS ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH TEACHERS, STUDENTS

Students at six Rogers schools had new principals when they returned to class Monday.

New Principals

The Rogers School district has six schools with new principals this year.

Elementary

Bellview: Dan Cox, former head of professional development for the Rogers School District

Garfield: Stephen Bowman, former assistant principal in Bentonville and Rogers

Northside: Anita Turner, former principal of Garfield

Reagan: Laura Quillen, former assistant principal at Reagan

Middle School

Birch Kirksey: Mel Ahart, former assistant principal in Springdale

Oakdale: Donna Charlton, former assistant principal in Houston

Preliminary Enrollment

The Rogers School District had a preliminary enrollment of 14,324 as of Monday afternoon. Ashley Siwiec, a district spokeswoman, said the actual enrollment can vary by as much as 100 or 200 students from that number.

Last year’s enrollment was 14,003.

The Bellview adminstration, faculty, and staff are truly lucky to have Dan Cox as their new principal.
